Why is it so damn hard to write for yourself? (Does anybody know?)

As a content writer, I am always looking for new clients, sending proposals, and looking for more work (or more money, should I say?)

Yet, the same ghosts keep hunting me at night when I put my head on my pillow and get ready to sleep. Why don’t you write for your Medium site or for your blog? What follows is a series of wonderful (at least according to me) ideas that could potentially become great posts. Here is where I promise myself that I will start with them in the morning.

Then the morning comes, I have a cup of coffee (maybe three), and I sit down to write for my clients instead of writing for myself.

To be honest I never understood all of those recommendations of “leave your job and start your own business” until it started happening to me (sort of.)

We, writers, are our own job and business; everything at the same time. How can you detach yourself from one part of the business to focus on another one? I am still struggling with this.

If there’s one thing I know for sure is that I love doing what I do. I love writing for me, for my readers, for my clients, for my pleasure.

I love putting my thoughts into words, and I will never stop being marveled at the breathtaking sensations good writing can create.

Someday soon, I will find a healthy balance between my work projects and my personal projects. If I ever find a decent explanation, I will for sure share it with you.

If you have any thoughts on this, I would love to hear them (or should I say read them?)

In the meantime, I will try to be more consistent here. Wish me luck!
